Blood of Our Blood

It had been a few months since the wedding. But for Integra it was business as usual. Freaks, vampires and ghouls didn't take a holiday, and neither would she. Though she was now married to Kenneth, she was no less involved in the business of the Hellsing organization. She sat at her desk thumbing through papers and reports of recent attacks on female students from a school in Manchester. Kenneth walked in just as she was going through a new batch of reports. Now that he was her husband, that also made him officially a part of Hellsing. He was expected to have some sort of functioning role in the organization.

"Kenneth, good that you're here. I've just recieved word that several young ladies from a local boarding school have gone missing over a number of weeks." Integra said.

"Anything suspicious?" Kenneth asked.

"Yes. A witness who is being interviewed by MI-5 agents said the abductor had a few unique characteristics to him. It isn't known if the perpetrator was acting alone or with an accomplice. We'll know more once I recieve the report from MI-5."

"Have Alucard and Seras taken well to the idea of drinking the...substitute blood?"

"Seras doesn't seem to have much of a problem with the idea of drinking cows blood. She hasn't complained. Of course Alucard has told me to no end he isn't happy with the idea. There was such a blood shortage due to all the natural disasters and terror attacks that human blood was not available to Hellsing at the time. They've only been drinking the blood of cattle for close to two weeks. They won't have to deal with it long, just long enough to where we can get back to the human donations."

"Blood from a corpse would taste better than this." Alucard muttered as he drank.

"It's not the best thing I've had, but at least it's food." Seras replied.

"You're lucky. You've only been sustaining yourself on human blood for a little over a year. I've maintained myself on it for five centuries. Not to say that I've never drank the blood of animals. It is a useful thing when feeding off a human is too risky. Unfortunately it isn't exactly dignified for one such as myself to go roaming a barn yard sucking chickens dry."

"I can hardly imagine you stalking around a barn yard like a fox terrorizing innocent chickens." Seras said with a soft giggle.

"Actually I took the form of a dog. And the farmer was most unhappy when he found his prized hens torn to pieces. But I can imagine he probably would have been even more upset if he'd had his own throat torn out instead." Alucard replied.

"Report to my office Alucard. And bring Seras with you. I've got an assignment for you both." Integra's voice sounded.

"Yes master." Alucard replied acknowleging the mental summons. "Integra is summoning us." He said with a sigh.

Integra sat at her desk as her two vampires materialized in her office. She looked up to see Alucard and Seras waiting for their orders. She reached for a small folder.

"We've recieved word that female students from a Manchester university have been mysteriously vanishing. MI-5 has obtained eye witness accounts of the abduction. The girls appear to have gone willingly with their abductor. He was described as being a male in his late twenties, tall, lean frame and shoulder length blonde hair. The witness also stated his eyes were glowing. Of course the identity of the witness is being kept a secret, even from us. MI-5 fears that if the abductor may have seen the informant, he may take negative action against this individual. We are only being told that it is suspected the abductor may be of vampiric origin. Though whether he is a true vampire or an artificial one remains to be seen." Integra explained.

"Where is the target now?" Alucard asked.

"Agents report that he is still in Manchester, but they have not seen any sign of the missing students. Hellsing has no idea if this target is acting alone or could have accomplices working with him. I want you both to go to Manchester and deal with the problem. Troops are already being dispatched to Manchester to deal with any ghouls that may have been spawned. If the students have been turned, destroy them as well. MI-5 will take care of informing the next of kin if the students have been turned." Integra answered.

"Yes master." Alucard replied as he and Seras vanished from Integra's office.

Fergason waited with troops near the boarding school. Students had been put on alert that a suspicious character had been lurking nearby and special forces had been dispatched to deal with the problem. With the students safely confined inside, the troops were free to take what measures they needed against any ghouls that may have been spawned.

"The area's clear of civilians commander." Pickman reported.

"Good. Inform Captain Victoria that she and Alucard have the go ahead to pursue the target." Fergason ordered.

After recieving conformation, Seras and Alucard began their hunt. They both walked down a quiet stretch of road in search of their prey. Seras carried her harconnen cannon with her though she hoped she'd only have to use the smaller weapons she brought with her. The cannon could do a lot of damage to surrounding buildings so she didn't like using it in such an area unless she had no other choice.

Seras quickly cocked her ear to the wind. Alucard noticed her movements and began listening himself.

"I can hear something, sounds like footsteps just ten paces from where we're standing." She said.

As she spoke a shadowy figure emerged from the darkness. It appeared to be a young woman, at least what used to be a young woman. Her eyes glowed red. Upon her neck were fresh bite marks from her attacker. Her face, however innocent it may have once been was not twisted into a wicked and devilish expression.

"Looks like we found one of our victims." Seras said.

"Yes, and it appears she has a few sisters." Alucard remarked seeing two more newly made female vampires.

Several more vampiress's emerged to join their companions. "Hmmm, looks like the target has aquired quite a little harem. And from what I can tell none of them are ghouls." Alucard said as a devilish smile played upon his face. "This should be fun." He said with a dark chuckle.

"Well, good thing I brought this thing with me then." Seras commented looking at her cannon.

"Yes. You may very well need it." Alucard replied.

Five female vampires now stood surrounding Alucard and Seras. The two Hellsing slayers prepared for what looked to be one hell of a fight. One more figure emerged from the shadows of the woods that covered one side of the road. The figure this time was male. He looked to be a young man in his twenties with short brown hair. He appeared to be a student himself. His eyes glowed with wild light and his fangs showed as he smiled deviously.

"Look at this! Immortality, unlimited power, and all the beauties I want! They weren't kidding!" He laughed madly.

"This made all these brides?" Alucard asked with a disappointed expression.

"Jealous mate? I've got all these beautiful young women falling at my feet..." The young male vampire jeered. He stopped speaking when he cast a vulgar glance at Seras.

"What a prize she'd make. And she's already immortal." He thought.

You'd make the perfect addition to my little stable."

Alucard's eyes flashed wildly hearing that statement. "She is my immortal queen, and any man who dares to take her will know my wrath." The elder vampire snarled.

"Why would she want to stay with you when she could have a fine young thing like me?" The younger rival sneered.

"Because I prefer to be with a man who acts his age and not the size of his reproductive organ. Besides, I don't date children." Seras answered.

"Why you insulant bitch! You'll regret ever saying that to me!"

Alucard cocked his guns preparing for battle. "Touch her and Hell will seem merciful compared to what I'd do to you."

"Is that so? Well after I've dispatched you I'll take your bitch for my own. I look forward to breaking her in." The rival warned.

"You wouldn't know what to do with a woman like Seras Victoria. She'd kill you before you could get your pants unzipped." Alucard jeered.

"You can't even dream of taking me on! I'm younger, I'm faster and stronger, not to mention better looking!"

Alucard smiled a fanged, demonic smile. "Seras, take out the female targets. I'm going to give the brat here a reality check."

"Gladly." Seras replied as she squared off with the five females.

"You wanna play? Then let's play grandpa!" The young male sneered and fled into the woods.

"Yes, let's....play." Alucard chuckled like a mad man.

Seras was left alone with the young male's brides, but she was hardly what could be considered nervous about it.

"You insulted our master. You shouldn't have done that. He won't be very nice with you after he takes your mate out. We won't be very nice with you either." One bride said.

"Perhaps he'll be generous enough to let us have our way with what's left of your mate after he's done with him." Another added.

"Yes. He'll have you on your knees while we pick the bones of the old man." The third replied coldly.

"We'll make you watch as we...."

BOOM!

The four remaining brides looked on in horror as their fifth sister suddenly exploded into a pile of dust. Seras stood smiling devilishly as she watched the exploded shell fall from her Harconnen cannon.

"So, which one of you bitches wants to go next?" She asked with a fanged grin.

#######################################

"Come and find me old man! You'll never find me!" The young male vampire laughed like a mischevious child.

"I'm afraid you're now minus one of your brides, or did you not hear the explosion that just took place." Alucard said calmly.

"No matter! I'll just find another! I can have all the women I want now!" His rival exclaimed.

Before Alucard could react, something streaked by him cutting off his arm. The young rival appeared in front of him grinning maniacally. His eyes wide in what he thought was his first victory.

"That's just the beginning of what I'm gonna do to you! I'll feed you to my ladies one piece at a time!" He laughed.

Alucard just stood there with a smile that would have scared Satan himself. The young rival watched in both astonishment and shock as Alucard regenerated his arm with ease. His gun shot from the ground into his newly regrown hand. He raised his Casul and aimed it at the target.

"My turn." He chuckled and proceeded to shoot the rival's left hand clean off.

"My hand! You shot my hand off!" The rival screamed in pain as he clutched the bloody stump that remained.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Regenerate your hand." Alucard ordered.

"What? Regenerate my..."

"You are a vampire aren't you? You claim to be stronger than me do you not? Prove you are what you say you are! Regenerate your hand! Get up and fight me!" Alucard cackled.

The young male could only crouch on the ground cowering in terror now realizing what he'd gotten himself into. His eyes widened with terror as Alucard advanced on his enemy.

"How pathetic. You claim to be some powerful creature of the night, when in reality you're nothing but a poser, a fake! You talk a good game but when it comes down to actually following through you cower like a whining puppy. You dare to call yourself immortal? You don't even know what you are you miserable little fraud!" Alucard barked angrily.

"Look at you. You cower before me in terror. You can't regenerate your wounds. Your attacks are nothing to me! It's a waste of my time to even consider fighting you!"

"This can't be happening! I paid a fortune for this! I'm not supposed to lose!" The young male cried.

"You are beyond disgusting. I'm not even going to waste my time." Alucard snarled and shot the target right between the eyes. As he watched it disintagrate into dust, he holstered his weapon and vanished.

When he returned to Seras's side he found five piles of dust around her. She stood her cannon upright casting a glance at Alucard. "Sorry, but I'm afraid there's nothing for you to look forward to here." She said.

"It doesn't matter. They wouldn't have been worth my effort anyhow." Alucard said with a disappointed expression.

"The male?" Seras asked.

"The male target has been silenced. He was truly the most pathetic fake I've encountered yet. What a disappointing night this has been. I was truly hoping for some real action." Alucard sighed.

"Well, there's always next time." Seras replied as she turned on her headset. "Pickman, the target's have been silenced. Inform commander Ferguson so the troops can begin clean up."

"Confirmed Captain Victoria."

"Well, no use staying around here. Guess we better get back to..." Seras stopped feeling strange for a moment. She rubbed her forehead.

"What's wrong?" Alucard asked.

"I don't know. I just feel strange. It's probably nothing. I guess I just need to drink when we get back to Hellsing."
