Chapter 6
Early the next afternoon Kenneth arrived at the Hellsing mansion. He greeted Walter who escorted him to Integra's office. Integra sat at her desk waiting for her husband to be. Walter opened the door to her office ushering Kenneth within.
"I admire your courage Kenneth. You do know the mission you have volunteered for is dangerous. While I will have back up waiting should something go wrong, you must understand the creature we are dealing with is crafty and cunning. She can kill men by draining their life force right out of them." Integra stated.
"Of course darling. I completely understand." Kenneth replied warmly.
Integra looked at Kenneth not taking too kindly to the endearment. "Just so we understand each other Kenneth, we are not married... yet. You may adress me as Integra, not darling." She said with a scowl.
"Oh, of course...Integra." Kenneth said feeling somewhat taken aback by her reaction.
"What is our plan of action?" He asked.
"This is the location of the hotel where the target is staying. I will have scouts watching her. I believe she will leave the hotel this evening and start looking for a new victim. This is where you will come in. You will be stationed at one of the local pubs since she is believed to freqent these establishments." Integra answered.
After taking a drag off her cigar she continued laying out the stragety. "You should make yourself appealing to the target, but do not overtly flaunt your wealth. This may make her suspicious and tip her off to our plans. Introduce yourself and make conversation until she is ready to leave. Then you will bring her to a predetermined location. Your father has generously lent us use of one of his mansions for such a purpose. Hellsing troops will be stationed at key points around the mansion should problems arise. I will also have Alucard, Seras and Father Alexander Anderson waiting when the trap is sprung."
"Sounds simple enough." Kenneth said confidently.
"Yes, but the key will be getting Alucard and Anderson to cooperate long enough carry out their mission which is to destroy the target. You must also keep your mind absolutely clear of any knowledge of the plan. This creature can read people like open books. Therefore this evening to make sure you don't inadvertantly reveal our plans I'm going to test you." Integra replied.
"Why wait til this evening?" Kenneth asked.
"Because it will be Alucard who tests you." Integra stated.
"Al...Alucard?" Kenneth questioned nervously.
"Yes. Don't worry. He can't do anything without my permission. Of course that goes mostly for physical violence and mind control. I cannot promise he may not reveal something embarrassing from your past if he happens to find it." Integra answered.
"Ri..right.." Kenneth replied becoming even more nervous.

Seras lay still in her coffin until she felt the stirring of the night begin to awaken her. She heard footsteps coming into her room. They were the stately but light footsteps she recognized as belonging to Walter. He was bringing her nightly rations. She pressed the button to her remote and the lid began to rise. Walter had come and gone by the time it finished its ascent. She got out of bed and got changed into her Hellsing uniform. Then she had dinner. As she finished the blood ration for the evening she heard a darkly wicked chuckle eminating from Alucard's chamber.
Her curiosity aroused she decided to see what had the elder vampire in such a fine mood. She entered his chamber to find him sitting in his chair with a dark smile upon his face. His eyes glittered with a mischevious glint.
"You're certainly happy about something. Looking foward to the fight with our target or tearing Anderson to shreds?" She asked.
"Both...but there is something else. I've just learned that my master has chosen me to test her fiance's ability to block mind readers." He answered.
"Oh dear." Seras sighed.
#################################################
Thirty minutes later Alucard and Seras were summoned to Integra's office. Kenneth sat nervously across from his wife to be reaching for a brandy.
"It's best if you don't consume alcohol before you're tested. It can inhibit your ability to hide the plan." Integra said.
"Right." Kenneth replied apprehensively.
"Alucard has not been told the complete strategety. He knows you are going to lure the creature into a trap but that is all he knows. Seras does not know the extent of the plan either so she has not had the opportunity to tell him. He will have to read your mind to learn what exactly will happen. He could try reading mine but I've learned to put barriers up against his mental abilties. I've had thirteen years of practice so I'm very skilled at blocking him. You however have only had one evening so you're at a great disadvantage. But you would be at the same disadvantage with our target so things even out where that is concerned." She explained.
Just as she finished speaking Alucard and Seras materialized in her office. "Is the vict, er, subject ready for the test?" Alucard asked with a mischevious smirk.
"Yes. Do try to behave yourself Alucard." Integra said with a serious expression.
"Um, this doesn't hurt does it?" Kenneth asked.
"It depends upon what level of my mental abilities I chose to excersize. I can sneak into a human's mind without detection, or I can plant illusions in one's head that could drive a human to insanity. In such cases the mental invasion can be...shall I say rather uncomfortable." Alucard answered.
Kenneth gulped nervously not sure of what he was in for. And the elder vampire's wicked smirk didn't help make him feel any more at ease.
"All right. Alucard, I want you to look into Kenneth's mind and see if you can find out the details of the plan he and I discussed earlier today." Integra ordered.
"Now we'll see what dirty little secrets you may be hiding human."
Alucard began looking into Kenneth's mind. To say he found a few amusing details floating around would have been an understatement. Integra watched as the vampire continued peering into Kenneth's memories. A moment passed as she finally began to wonder just what he was looking for in there.
"Have you found any details of the plan yet?" She asked.
"Not yet. But I have found a few interesting little tid bits from his past." Alucard answered with a smirk.
"You were grounded at fifteen for sneaking off to go to an Ozzy Osbourne concert. At the age of twelve you walked in on your mother and father making your younger brother. And you and your older brother were given a firm talking to by your father after you both were discovered going through your mother's lingerie drawer..."
At this point Kenneth's face looked redder than a boiled lobster if that was humanly possible. He'd never felt so embarrassed and mortified in his entire life.
"Well, I did say I couldn't promise what he may reveal reading your thoughts." Integra said feeling a sense of satisfaction seeing her fiance' so shame faced.
"At the age of eighteen you told your parents you were going to study for a school final when in reality you snuck off to an adult theater." Alucard continued.
Kenneth was horrified of what else Alucard was going to dig up and reveal, but it kept him from learning what the plan was.
"And you think my master is either a lesbian or a transexual."
"THAT'S not true!" Kenneth shouted. He looked over at Integra who's eyes were just as wide as his.
"I know. I made that up." Alucard said with a chuckle.
"Will you stop playing around and see if you can get at the plan you dolt!" Integra barked.
Having had his fun, Alucard continued looking but every time he thought he saw a detail from the plan another embarrassing memory popped up.
"His stragety is rather ingenious albeit at the cost of a bit of his dignity. He keeps putting up memories from his past in order to sheild my mental powers from finding what it is he doesn't want me to find." Alucard replied.
"I will take that as a sign you passed the test. You're to be congratulated Kenneth. There aren't many humans who can stand up to Alucard's mental and psychic abilities." Integra said regaining her wits after the previous outburst.
"All right, the plan will go as follows. Scouts are set up at the hotel where the target is staying. It is most likely she'll do her hunting in one of the local pubs. When we recieve word that she is on the hunt again Kenneth will be deployed to the destination she's chosen. He will lure her away and the two will go to a decoy mansion. Then when she's vunerable, we strike. Troops will be set up at stragtegic points of the location." Integra explained.
"Alucard, you and Seras will be deployed soon after the human troops are in place. Anderson will also be deployed. The three of you must work together in order to take this target out once and for all. When she strikes, so must the three of you." She continued.
"And if the lap dog should break his leash?" Alucard questioned.
"Then you have my permission to do whatever is necessary to collar him once again...after the target has been dealt with." Integra answered.
#################################################
Enrico recieved word from Integra at his hotel room. He looked to Anderson with a less than enthusiastic look upon his face. "We're to wait here until we recieve word from Hellsing. For now I want you to comply with their wishes. When the demon is destroyed, take out their filthy pets by any means necessary. Hellsing is unworthy of being called a vampire hunting organization when they employ the very creatures they're charged with destroying."
"It will be my pleasure." Anderson said with a maniacal smile.
#################################################
An hour had passed. Seras sat in her room awaiting orders from Integra. After having a few private moments to himself, Alucard joined her. She looked to see him coming through the wall as if it were not even there.
"Find Kenneth's mind amusing?" She asked.
"Very. I do find it admirable that he was willing to sacrifice his dignity to protect what my master had told him to keep secret. Of course I think I was very kind compared to some of the things I could have done to him. Humans have gone insane after I've messed with their minds. How do you think Reinfield ended up in a lunatic asylum? He was quite a mess when I got done with him." Alucard said.
"I can imagine." Seras replied. "So do you think the creature will take the bait?" She asked.
"Oh I think so." Alucard answered.
"I hope we can get this over with tonight. The thought of having to trust Anderson as an ally bothers me." Seras said.
"Don't worry about trusting him. He isn't trustworthy as far as we're concerned. Most likely after the target has been silenced Anderson will turn on us and we'll end up fighting him as well. And we both know he isn't easy to deal with." Alucard replied.
"I'd say Maxwell has already told him to deal with us after the target is silenced." Seras said.
"Most likely. There is something else Seras. Shield your mind from her as best you can. You've seen first hand how she can manipulate the mind of one even as powerful as myself. She used my own memories against me." Alucard stated with a serious tone.
"I know. She already tried it once with me but, I was able to block her. Funny thing is I didn't feel it anywhere near as strong as you did." Seras replied.
"She targets men. It could be that her mental abilities affect men stronger than they affect women. Perhaps that is why you found it easier to block her attack." Alucard said.
As he spoke he felt the presense of his master entering his mind. "It's time." He replied.
#################################################
Kenneth walked into the pub and ordered a shot of brandy. He didn't look around but kept his eyes directed at the bar so as not to make himself look suspicious. He thought about anything else he could except the trap being set for the target. He noticed out of the corner of his eye a woman making her way toward him. He pretended not to notice her at first.
She looked at him noticing his hand was shaking slightly. Something that perhaps he wished now she had not caught.
"You seem nervous love? You're not afraid of a beautiful woman like me are you?" She asked.
"Well, I am a bit nervous. I'm supposed to be getting married soon. But truth be told I'm not really sure if I'm ready to be married just yet." Kenneth answered.
"Not quite ready to give up the life of a bachelor?"
"To be perfectly honest I haven't really...shopped around if you know what I mean. I'd like a few amourous adventures before I deal with the ol ball and chain for the rest of my life." Kenneth answered.
"Well, if it's an amourous adventure you're looking for, I'm sure I could provide you with one that will leave you quite...breathless."
"Really? I could use a few lessons before I'm wed. I'm afraid I've not had much experience with women." Kenneth replied.
"I'm sure I could provide you with quite an education. I'm Sadie."
"Kenneth Ascott. Why don't we go somewhere a little more private love?"
"What did you have in mind?" Sadie asked.
"I have a nice cozy mansion not too far away. Why don't we go there and see if you can teach me a few things before my honeymoon." Kenneth said.
"You're not worried about your fiance' finding out?"
"Oh come now love. What she doesn't know won't hurt her." Kenneth said.
"Shall we then?"
#################################################
Alucard and Seras waited near the mansion waiting for Kenneth and Sadie to arrive. Much to their chagrin Anderson also waited with them. As unenjoyable a task that may have been to all concerned. The Iscariate paladin inspected his blades keeping a close and stern eye upon the two vampires whom he had to call allies for the time being. Alucard also cast a menacing glance at his rival as he loaded his guns. Neither of them said a word as they waited.
Alucard felt Integra calling to him mentally. "Are the three of you in position?"
"Yes master." He answered.
"Get this done and over with quickly as possible. I don't want Maxwell and Anderson here any longer than is necessary."
"Why not just give me the word master? I'd be more than happy to send them back to Rome in pieces."
"Because the last thing we need is war between England and Rome. Now concentrate on the matter at hand."
"We're in position Seras." Pickman said to Seras over her radio.
"All right. Wait until I give the word." She replied.
As she spoke she cocked her head to one side listening intently. Alucard also caught the sound of something close by. It was the sound of a car rolling into the drive way of the mansion. Both vampires listened as the car stopped and doors opened and closed.
"They're here." Alucard said recognizing one of the voices as that of Kenneth.
"Let's go." He said.
The three hunters approached the mansion. Alucard and Seras watched as Kenneth and Sadie shared a drink in the mansion before heading toward the bedroom. The two vampires vanished and materialized inside once the couple was out of sight. Alucard raised his hand making a gesture for the door to unlock and open at his will. Anderson cautiously walked inside so as not to make any noise.
"What is the situation?" Integra asked through the mental link with Alucard.
"We're in the mansion about to engage the target." Alucard answered.
"Proceed with caution. That's my fiance' in there." Integra said.
"Are you so concerned about your future husband?" Alucard questioned sarcastically.
"You get him killed, and you'll be paying for the engagement ball, not to mention explaining to her majesty why there wasn't any wedding."
Alucard coughed at the comment and cocked his guns. He looked over his shoulder at Anderson. "I would suggest you put up a barrier so she can't escape this time."
Anderson remained silent only nodding his agreement. Alucard fazed through the door to the bedroom where Sadie was undoing Kenneth's blazer.
"Oh I'm sorry. Was I interrupting something?" The vampire asked with his trademark sadistic smile. Sadie spun around suddenly to find herself staring down the barrel of Alucard's Jackul and Casul.
"So sorry love, but I'm afraid I'll just have to take a rain check on tonight." Kenneth said as he rushed away from Sadie.
"Now!" Alucard shouted.
Pieces of holy scripture suddenly appeared out of nowhere pinning themselves to the walls and windows. Sadie growled and rushed toward an open window. However her escape was halted by the barrier.
"What is this?" She hissed.
"A spiritual barrier. It keeps unholy demons like yourself from escaping. Ye'll not get away this time." Anderson answered walking into the room.
"Caught you didn't we? Now it's time you were sent back to the abyss from whence you came."
"Kenneth!" Seras shouted. "Get out of here! The barrier will keep her from escaping!"
Kenneth nodded and rushed out of the mansion as quickly as possible.
"Captian Pickman, get Ascott out of here as quickly as possible and get him back to the Hellsing mansion." Seras ordered.
"Understood captain Victoria. We're on our way." Pickman answered.
"The playing field is all clear." Seras said opening the door to the bedroom.
"Good." Alucard said baring his fangs.
#################################################
Back at the Hellsing mansion Integra paced back and fourth in her office. There was a knock at the door. "Enter." She said.
Walter opened the door. "Captain Pickman reports that your fiance' is safely out of harm's way. Anderson, Alucard and Seras are engaging the target as we speak. This should be settled before the night is over."
"Good. I want to be informed immediately when they have silenced the target." Integra replied.
"Yes sir." Walter answered and closed the door to the office.
#################################################
Anderson, Alucard and Seras faced off against Sadie. Her eyes showed pure venom in her glare. She focused upon Alucard trying to invade his mind once again. Alucard's eyes narrowed as he easily blocked her mental invasion.
"Oh no. You're not pulling that little trick with me again." Alucard said preparing to fire.
Sadie's eyes changed from brown to a firey amber hue and began to glow. The light spread from her eyes to the whole of her body. Her clothes fell away as her skin changed from ivory white to dark green. Her hair turned crimson red and bat like wings sprouted from her back. Her forked tongue darted in and out of her mouth.
"So, you reveal yourself as the filthy demon you are." Anderson growled.
"You must have found a few victims to renew your power. You weren't this strong when last we met." Alucard replied.
"Commoners are not to my taste but they serve my purposes all the same." The demon said with a voice of pure malice. She smiled evilly baring her pointed teeth and forked tongue.
"Young boys are so easy to lure...like a wolf gaining the trust of gentle little lambs. So sad they'll never become men."
"You filthy whore of Satan!" Anderson shouted hurling his silver blades at the creature.
She caught them easily and hurled them back at Anderson. The blades found their mark embedding themselves in his shoulders. He cried out in pain as the weapons carved into his flesh.
Alucard snarled as he aimed his guns at the beasts heart. "I doubt you'll be able to catch bullets so easily."
With flawless precision he fired straight at the demon's chest. To his suprise a red light surrounded the creature deflecting Alucard's silver bullets. He ducked just as the projectiles rickashaed off the shield and headed straight back for him. He rose back to his full height glaring at the demon.
"Did you think it would be that easy to destroy me?" The demon sneered.
"Clearly you're not just a meer sucubus are you?" Alucard asked.
"Sucubus, demon, call me what you will. I am a daughter of the darkest of master and decendent of the dark mistress Lilith. The dark arts serve those who know how to use them."
"You're a spawn of the devil is what you are." Anderson sputtered as he pulled the embedded blades from his shoulders.
"My turn." The demon hissed and shot a beam of red light from her hands. The energy knocked Alucard off his feet and shot him backwards through the door. Seras rushed toward her fallen mentor.
"Alucard!" She exclaimed as she kneeled at his side.
"I'm all right. That thing has more power than I imagined." He growled as he tried to right himself.
"Die you filthy hell spawn!" Anderson barked as he picked up his blades and rushed at the demon. But his blades failed to penetrate the force field protecting her. She directed another beam of energy at Anderson sending him flying against a wall. His blades were knocked from his hands. One flew through the splintered and shattered wood where a door once stood.
Not to be easily defeated, Anderson regained his footing and produced two more blades. But he was quickly bashed against the wall once again. The sheild began to grow and it soon surrounded both Anderson and the demoness.
"What the hell is she doing?" Seras asked.
"What generations before me have done. I will continue my kind." The demon answered as she looked down at Anderson who now lay half concious on the floor. She changed her form to that of a human woman once again. She stood naked over Anderson who was barely moving. Anderson's arms were spread wide still holding the sacred blades. The inhuman female easily took the blades out of Anderson's hands and proceeded to drive them one at a time into each of his palms. He cried out in pain as the bayonettes entered his flesh. He was splayed out on the floor crusifix style with his tormentor standing over him smiling fiendishly.
"You'll pay for this sacrilidge..." he sputtered.
The demon straddled his fully clothed body. She let her forked tongue slither out of her mouth onto his neck. She laughed evilly. "Bless me father, for I am sin."
"Get off me you vile whore!" Anderson protested as he tried to fight through the pain to release his hands.
"Don't try to resist me...father. I know you want this one moment of pleasure before you die." She said as her will invaded Anderson's.
"But just in case..."
She reached into Anderson's coat and pulled out two more blades. She raised one and rammed it through Anderson's already damaged shoulder blades. Then she took the other and did the same. Anderson howled in agony as blood poured from his wounds.
Alucard looked through the red energy field with disgust seeing what was about to take place. He got to his feet and ran at the field only to have himself knocked backwards.
"You can't penetrate that sheild you fool you pathetic male." She growled as she began undoing Anderson's pants.
"She targets men. Her powers work strongest on men." Seras said to herself. She eyed a fallen blade just outside the shield and got an idea.
"Alucard, I think I know how to take her out." She said.
"How? She's bested both Anderson and myself. Damn her." The elder vampire growled.
"She targets men. Her powers work strongest against men. Obviously she's never had a real challenge from a woman." Seras said.
"You think you can take her?" Alucard asked skeptically.
"It may be our only hope. Trust me...OK?"
Seras picked up the blade by the handle. It was a long shot to Alucard, but he knew Seras was right. He watched as Seras slid the blade through the force shield. Amazingly where he was blocked, Seras walked through without any problem at all.
"It's working. She walked right through." Alucard said to himself with astonishment.
"Take her out Seras. Silence her once and for all."
Anderson lay helpless on the floor while the demon began having her way with him. She was about to get his pants down and straddle him when she felt a piercing pain rip through her shoulder blades. Seras stood behind her with a manical grin on her face, fangs bared.
"How's that feel you demon bitch?" Seras growled.
The demon hissed and rolled off Anderson. She grabbed the blade's handle now sticking out of her back and pulled it out. She resumed her true form as a demon and flew at Seras. Seras ducked and rolled toward Anderson.
"Sorry, but this might hurt." She growled as she yanked a blade out of one of Anderson's shoulders. He grunted as he was too weak to do much else at the moment.
"You little fool! I'll cut you to ribbons while your lover watches!" The creature screeched.
"I'd like to see you try." Seras sneered.
The beast sent a beam of energy shooting toward Seras. Alucard's eyes widened in horror fearing his beloved mate was about to be cut down before his very eyes. To both his and the demon's shock the beam barely pushed Seras an inch.
"What? How can this be?" The creature asked with astonishment.
"I'd guess women never posed much of a threat to you did they...until now." Seras growled as her expression became deadly serious. Her eyes glowed red as flame and her fangs elongated.
"It can't be! My powers have never failed!"
"There's a first time for everything." Seras said with a smirk.
"Of course, she's never fought against a woman before. Her powers don't have the same effect." Alucard said assessing the battle as it began.
Seras raised her blade facing off against her demonic opponent. Her normally sweet face was now dark and fiendish...the look of her sire. "You don't seem so big and bad now do you?" She asked sarcastically.
"It makes no difference. I'll kill you all the same." The demon hissed.
"Talk is cheap. More action and less words." Seras challenged.
The creature lunged foward swinging her blade at Seras. Seras in turn perried and blocked the strike intended for her head. The blades clinged and clanged against each other. Occassionally sparks would fly from the friction of metal on metal. Though she'd never had a lesson in her life, she handled the blade like an expert swordsman. To which Alucard credited the power of his blood within her. In his days as a warrior he was a master with a sword and the knowledge and skill was passed onto Seras through his blood.
The battle continued as the demon managed to strike one blow against Seras cutting her arm, but not deep enough to make much of an impact.
"Is that all you've got? I expected more than this. If you're this pathetic then I'll just have to have to kill you." Seras sneered.
"By Satan's tongue you will not leave here alive!" The creature hissed furiously.
"News flash greenie. I'm already dead." Seras taunted and swung her blade slicing off one of the creature's hands. It cried out in pain as the severed appendage fell to the ground. Instead of blood however, a viscus, yellow fluid ebbed from the stump.
"Well, you certainly wouldn't do my appetite any good." Seras said wriggling her nose at the foul smell the fluid emitted.
The demon's focus now fragmented, the shield began to flash like a dying light bulb disappearing and reappearing at a rapid pace. The powers that held the energy in place were beginning to weaken.
The wound on Seras's arm healed instantly. The demon however did not have as much luck. "Well well, you can't regenerate your wounds like I can. What a shame."
Now furious and wounded, the demon rushed toward Seras blade in the one good hand she had left. That too however was severed from her other wrist. The hand weilding the blessed blade fell to the ground. Now she was minus both her hands. Seras's wicked smile grew wider as she realized the demon was now very vunerable. She lunged toward her enemy driving the blade in her hands into the demon's shoulder. With her vampiric strength she easily pinned the creature to the wall next to where Anderson lay still helpless and bleeding. One by one, Seras yanked the three remaining blades embedded in Anderson's body and impaled one in the demon's other shoulder. The other two she rammed one at at time into each thigh.
The monster screamed and howled in pain. The barrier of its making finally dissapated once and for all. Alucard watched with satisfaction as Seras drew back her hand and plunged it into the the beast's chest ripping out its heart. With sadistic pleasure she crushed the organ in her hand. From his vantage point he watched as the creature's body melted into a blob of noxious goo. Seras stood back as the demon's corpse melted from the impaling blades onto the floor. She looked over at Alucard and walked out of the bedroom leaving Anderson in a heap.
"Target is silenced." She said.
"Well done Seras. Sir Integra will be much pleased." Alucard replied approvingly. They both walked to the front door. A silver blade came out of no where heading straight for Seras's head. The weapon however was caught half an inch from its target by Alucard. His hand bled and burned as the blade sliced into his fingers. He let the thing drop and turned. There was Anderson. His wounds regenerated, he stood with bayonettes drawn.
"You just don't know when to quit do you?" Alucard asked with a sadistic smile.
"You took what was rightfully mine to kill. So I'll take the both of you as compensation." Anderson growled.
Alucard waved his hand and the front door flew open. Lights shined in flooding the living room with a flourescent glow. There stood Sir Integra along with a band of Hellsing troops.
"I thought this might happen so I took the liberty of bringing back up." Integra said.
"It makes no difference. I'll butcher the whole lot of you!" Anderson shouted.
"I wouldn't recommend that Father Alexander Anderson." Integra replied confidently.
Enrico Maxwell emerged from the glare of the flood lights with a scowl on his face. He wasn't happy about what he was about to say, but never the less he had to say it.
"You cannot attack them without provocation Father Anderson. To do so will be an act of aggression against the British monarchy. The Vatican has ordered us to return to Rome." His words were begrudging. Integra relished in the sound of every one of them.
"Your buisness in our country has been concluded. Leave now while you still have her majesty's good graces." Integra warned sternly.
"Put away your weapons Anderson. Orders are orders." Maxwell said looking away with an angry scowl. Anderson felt his blood boiling.
"This isn't over vampire." Anderson growled at Alucard as he walked past them in defeat.
"I sincerely hope so." Alucard replied looking foward to the next time he and Vatican's champion would square off.
#################################################
Integra met with her agents in the study for a short post briefing. "You've all done well. Her majesty commends everyone for their valor and loyalty. Now that this demonic threat has been extinguished," Integra paused before taking an exasperated sigh. "We can continue with plans for the engagement ball. With circumstances being what they've been, the queen wants this to commence as soon as we're ready. So in two days the event is set to take place. Anyone who has yet to find the proper attire, I would suggest you act quickly."
Integra paused before adding one last thing to the statement. "Do remember that this is a formal affair in which many royal dignitaries will be attending so please dress accordingly."
"When is the wedding to take place Sir?" Walter asked.
"Two weeks after the engagement ball. Her majesty didn't want a long wait between the two." Integra answered.
Having answered all needed questions, Integra dismissed her crew for the evening.
