Twisted Shadows
Chapter 1
"Come on Sara. We don't have all night." David said insistently.
"All right. Give me a bloody moment will you? I want to look good. This must be some club for you to be in such a hurry." Sara replied.
"I've heard it's one of the best goth clubs in London. Only been around for a couple of months now." David explained.
"I'm ready. I hope this place is as good as you say it is. I'm so tired of most of the scenes in this city. Same ol thing everywhere we go." Sara sighed.
"Then let's be on our way then." David said as he ushered Sara out of their flat.
##################################
David and Sara arrived at the club a half hour later. They walked up to the door where an exotic looking man stood. He had long straight black hair and deep brown eyes. Other than an elegantly done mustache he had no other facial hair. He smiled eloquently as the couple approached. In his hand he held a gold chalice which he occassionally took a sip from.
"Ahh. I see we have newcomers." He said to a beautiful young woman standing by his side.
David and Sara approached the man and woman. "I hope we're not too late to make it in. This is our first time here." David said.
"Of course not. Aiesha and I are always happy to see...new blood. Come inside. Welcome to Dark Oasis. I am the club's owner, Demir. If you will excuse Aiesha and I there is some business we must attend to. Do enjoy yourselves." Demir said sauvely.
"Thank you." Sara replied as David escorted her in.
The two entered the club and started looking around. They saw an assortment of patrons dressed in everything from elegant Victorian Gothic clothes to more edgy styles. The lighting was soft. There was a fair amount of electric lighting but much of the light came from candles in an array of sizes. The colors were mostly dark earth tones of reds, rich burgandies, blacks and golds. The house band played dark music as it eminated throughout the establishment on well hidden speakers. Some people sat at a bar drinking while others danced. Others sat in candlelit booths enjoying the atmosphere.
"We'll defintely have to come here a lot." Sara said.
She and David looked to a small black door and saw Demir and Aiesha emerge. They walked toward the couple. "Enjoying yourselves?" Aiesha asked sweetly.
"Oh yes. This is a fantastic establishment. David and I will have to come here often." Sara answered.
"Can I recommend something for you both to drink? We have some of the finest wines in all of London here." Aiesha said.
"Oh yes please." Sara replied as Demir's partner led them to the bar. Aiesha handed Sara and David two tall champange glasses filled with fine red wine. They apprecatively drank and set the glasses down.
"How much?" David asked.
"Oh no, please keep your money. This round is on the house. We want our patrons to feel welcome here." Aiesha replied with a sweet smile.
Demir watched Sara take a sip of the wine. Her eyes fluttered wildly for a moment and she rubbed her head.
"Are you all right my dear?" Demir asked.
"This wine packs quite a kick. I don't think I've ever tasted anything like this before. Is...there somewhere I can sit down for a moment?" Sara asked.
"Of course. Aiesha, show them to a private booth where the lady can catch her breath."
"Come with me." Aiesha said as she led David and Sara to an extremely private booth lit by only one small candle.
"You all right Sara? It usually takes more than this to get you tipsy." David said with a chuckle. He helped her walk to the booth where they both sat down.
Sara began to feel dizzy as she sat down. "David...I'm not feeling too well." She said rubbing her head firmly.
"Sara, what's...Blimey. What's in this stuff?" David said as he himself began to feel light headed. Before he could utter another word, he and Sara both slowly fell into a deep sleep. Blackness clouded their eyes as they passed out.

Two nights later:
"Yes. I understand. I'll have my agents look into the matter immediately. Thank you." Integra said as she hung up the phone. She looked down at her watch and then back at the phone. "The sun has gone down." She said to herself as she dialed the number to Seras Victoria's chamber.
Seras had just finished putting on her uniform when she heard her phone ring. She picked up the phone.
"Captain Victoria, report to my office at once. And bring Alucard with you." Integra ordered.
"Yes sir." Seras answered and hung up the phone.
A few moments later Alucard and Seras appeared in Sir Integra's office still finishing off their blood packs. She gave them a few moments to finish and then began to speak.
"I've just received a call from the queen's envoys. Two citizens have been reported missing after going to a gothic night club called Dark Oasis. The club has only been in business for three months. It was only after the these individuals didn't show up to their place of employment for two days afterwards that any reports were made." Integra explained.
"You think FREAKS may be involved?" Seras asked.
"I don't know. It can't be confirmed that vampire activity is at the heart of this matter. Therefore I'm going to send you and Alucard to observe this establishment. If there is any vampire activity you both will be able to sense it. If you sense any trace of the missing individuals I want to be informed about it as soon as possible. Afterwards I will meet with the queen and the knights to determine what measures are to be taken in this matter." Integra answered.
"Are we to go to this establishment tonight?" Alucard asked.
"Yes. One thing though. This is a gothic nightclub. If the two of you go dressed as you are now you'll stick out like sore thumbs. Most of the patrons from what I understand wear Gothic fashions from either the Victorian period or more modern clothes. I leave it up to both of you what to wear, however; I would go with something that will help you blend in." Integra said.
"Yes Sir." Seras answered.
"I want you both to get ready then. I'll expect you two back in my office in thirty minutes." Integra ordered.
"As you wish master."
##################################
Twenty-eight minutes later Integra sat behind her desk looking down at her watch. The first to appear was Seras Victoria. She wore tight, shiny vinyl pants with a black satin corset cami with black lace sleeves. The tips of her hair were blood red. She wore coal black eye liner with shimmering silver eye shadow. Her lips were just as red as the tips of her hair. She wore chunky heeled leather boots under her pants.
Integra nodded with approval at Seras's appearance. "You should fit in quite nicely. Where is Alucard?" She asked.
"He should be along any moment now." Seras answered.
Just as she spoke the vampire in question phased through the wall into Integra's office. Seras and Integra both were rather astonished when Alucard emerged from the black shadow void. He looked nothing like his usual self. His grey Victorian suit was replaced by a pair of black leather pants with a slight flair at the cuff. Under the pants he wore leather boots with a short heel. He wore a white dress shirt with a frilled cravat and frilled cuffs. Over that he wore a knee length black leather coat. The frilled cuffs showed slightly under the leather garment.
He strolled with an elegant gate holding a walking cane topped off with an ornate gold dragon head. His hair flowed gracefully to his waist in loose waves. The lean and lanky frame was now replaced by a more muscular one. His height had decreased by only a few inches. But the most notable difference was the well groomed mustache and beard he now sported. Even his glasses had changed. Instead of the usual reddish orange sun glasses, he now wore a pair of deep saphire blue specs.
Integra and Seras both could only stare in complete amazement at the drastic change in Alucard's appearence. There was however; one thing on the vampire that hadn't changed. He sported his infamous smirk at the two women. They looked like two students oogling over the handsome older college proffessor. Integra shook her head sheepishly trying to forget she'd looked at Alucard in such a manner. Seras on the other hand was still completely mesmorized by the immaculately gorgeous vampire standing before her.
"Ahem..." Integra coughed intentionally trying to get Seras's attention.
Seras shook her head, her eyes fluttered wildly for a moment before she finally came back down to Earth. Of course Alucard was silently chuckling on the inside. Seras could understand now why women so easily fell under the spell of such a seductive creature. She'd always seen him as handsome. But now he was in her eyes gorgeous beyond all belief.
"Now, if we may go on with the briefing. Two individuals were scene entering the club a few nights ago as I said before, a man and a woman. Identities have not yet been established. The man and woman were not seen leaving the club so it is not known exactly what happened to them after they entered it." Integra explained.
"I just want you two to observe the club tonight. Keep an eye out for anything that comes off as unusual or suspicious. If you suspect that there are beings there who are not human, do not engage them...yet. No doubt the security at this club will be moderate so they will most likely check you both for weapons. I would advise that only one of you carry a weapon that would go undetected." Integra stated.
"I've already taken care of that master." Alucard said as he turned the dragon head of his walking cane. He revealed the cane's secret, a long and thin silver blade.
"Clever enough. But won't it be detected if the club is using metal detectors?" Integra asked.
"Highly unlikely. Walter had the inside of the cane coated with a substance that makes the metal undetectable. I don't think sneaking this little beauty in will be a problem." The elder vampire replied smoothly.
"Very well. You both understand your mission then. Observe but do not engage unless you have no other recourse. It's eight o'clock now. You are to report back to Hellsing manor by midnight." Integra stated.
"You think it wise we stay away so long master?" Alucard questioned.
"Having you go and then suddenly leave may rouse suspicion. If you stay for an extended period of time they will think of you as interested new comers wanting to become regular patrons." Integra answered.
"Understood master." Alucard replied.
"God and her majesty be with you. Amen. Dismissed."
##################################
"The man and woman have been reported missing. We should have been more careful. The police will start snooping around the club asking questions." Aiesha replied nervously.
"You worry too much. Humans are so easy to manipulate my dear. The police will be told the same story that every other investigator will be told. The couple could not handle their drinks and we escorted them out of the club through the back so as not to make a scene. What happened to them after that will be our well kept secret." Demir answered with indifference.
"Now shall we see to our guests? I'm sure they must be getting so lonely..."
##################################
A young lady stood at the entrance to the club as an usher. She stood by watching the regular patrons enter the club. Her eyes widened when she saw the couple advancing toward her. Her eyes became glassy as she got a hazed expression on her face. Alucard and Seras nonchalantly walked past the star crossed woman and entered the club. The moment they entered every female in the room were staring at the elder vampire. The men were just as entranced by Seras as she walked by on Alucard's arm. They seem to both blend in and stand out at the same time.
"Shall I escort you and your companion to a booth...sir?" A waitress asked with starry eyes.
"Yes my dear." Alucard answered in a deep, smooth voice.
"Eating this up are you?" Seras asked.
"I wouldn't be myself if I didn't." Alucard replied with a smirk. "The men seem to be rather distracted themselves."
"So they are." Seras answered.
"We tend to have this affect upon humans." Alucard said.
The waitress took them to a booth with a red velvet seat. Alucard let Seras get seated first and then sat down himself. He requested red wine. He whipped out a few pound notes and gave them to the waitress. She quickly took the money and went to retrieve the requested item.
"Can you sense anything out of the ordinary?" Seras asked.
"No. Not yet anyway. We're here until midnight so anything can happen between now and then." Alucard answered.
"But won't people become suspicious if they see we order wine and we're not drinking it?" Seras questioned.
Alucard opened his jacket to reveal two neatly hidden blood packs. "I always come prepared." He said quietly.
The waitress soon came back with a bottle of red wine and two glasses. She set it down and left Alucard and Seras to themselves. The booth became dark as a shadowy cloud enveloped it. The blackness was no hindrance to Alucard as he opened the bottle of wine and poured a small measure into the glasses. Then he took out one of the blood packs and poured half the contents into the two glasses. He swirled them around to mix the wine and blood together until they were barely distinguishable as seperate fluids. He put the half empty pack back in his jacket and withdrew the shadow cloud.
He and Seras drank the blood wine as they were two normal humans drinking normal wine. No one so far suspected that they were anything but human. They sipped leisurely and watched the people around them. So far there didn't seem to be anything unusual about the club.
"The surroundings are gorgeous." Seras commented.
"Yes. I must admit whoever designed the place has excellent taste." Alucard replied.
"I could see a little bondage room in these kinds of settings." Seras said.
Alucard got a wickedly naughty gleam in his ruby eyes. "Wanting to do a little experimentation?"
"I want to but it seems so...daunting." Seras answered.
"When done the right way, a little pain leads to a great deal of pleasure." Alucard replied leaning his head against Seras's ear. "If you are willing to learn, then I am willing to teach you all you need to know."
##################################
A young woman struggled against the ropes that held her hands bound. She dangled mere inches from the ground. Only a foot away from her was a table with needles and knives. She was gagged so no one would hear her scream. Not that anyone would have heard her anyway. Ever since being taken from the club, she found herself a in dark, dungeon like chamber. Demir and Aiesha stood passionately kissing over the now deceased form of the young woman's male companion. They stopped and looked over at their terrified hostage. Her eyes were widened in both horror and disgust at the blood smeared on both their faces.
Demir walked over to the prisoner as she yanked and jerked at her bindings in a vain attempt to free herself. Her cries were no more than muffled whimpers through her gag. Tears streamed from her eyes.
Demir beckoned Aiehsa to come toward him. She obediently complied taking her place at his side. "Ahhh, the sweet aroma of absolute terror." He said pressing his nose against the woman's body. "Can you smell it on her Aiesha?"
"Yes." She answered.
"Listen to it. Hear her blood rushing madly through her body. The scent of her blood is almost as sweet as the scent of her fear. Her heart is beating so hard and so fast it might explode at any moment." Demir said tracing a finger along the terrified woman's face.
"I can feel her blood rushing in her veins." Aiesha said with a voice full of hunger.
"She's yours." Demir said with an evil smile.
Aiesha went to the table and picked up a sharp edged knife. She walked back over to her prisoner who began trying to scream through her gag. Aiesha laughed manically as she began to cut open the woman's shirt and bra. The woman tried to kick her feet but found they too had been bound. Aiesha began to drag the blade of the knife down the woman's chest between her breast making a small inscision.
As the hostage muffled cries were caught in the gag, Aiesha began to lick the trail of blood seeping from the wound. She savored the taste of fear and blood on her lips. She flashed a sweet, venomous smile toward Demir who looked on enjoying the site. Then she went back to her victim carving an inverted cross in her belly. She gasped and cried out in pain. Aiesha pressed her mouth against the unholy symbol and began lapping up the blood.
"So very sweet..." she purred. Then she turned to Demir once more. "Will you join me?" She asked.
"I was hoping you would ask." Demir growled as he approached the struggling woman. He forcefully grasped her hair forcing her head back. Then with much enjoyment he and Aiesha drained their prey as her last pleas for mercy choked from her lips.
