Chapter 10
Demir and Aiesha were still at their worshipping place with the two victims they'd chosen. Demir took the woman and fed upon her while Aiesha did the same with the man. After the two vampires had taken their fill, they bit into their own wrists and fed their victims of their own blood.
"They will serve us well. We will send them out into the city to make others to aid in our cause. They shall be both servants and witnessess to Lilith's awakening. In the mean time, we shall go and see if this woman, Integra is indeed the one who's blood shall bring our dark mother back to us." Demir said.
##################################
Integra sat at her desk as Walter knocked at her door. "Yes Walter." She said.
"The minister is here to bless the mansion sir." Walter answered.
"Very well. He may bless my office first. That will give Alucard and Seras enough time to return to the mansion. Tell him to leave the lower levels alone or those two won't be able to return to their chambers." Integra instructed.
"As you wish Sir Integra." Walter said and led the minister into Integra's office. She bowed her head as a gesture of respect. Walter took his place by Integra's side as the minister began his work.
"God of Heaven, let this room be blessed with thy grace. Protect Sir Integra, thy righteous servant from the forces of darkness. Give her the strength to resist all temptation. Let no evil thing enter this room. Let it be shielded from all impure things." The minister prayed.
##################################
Demir and Aiesha stood outside the grounds of Hellsing manor. They could sense the minister inside placing holy barriers within. "The foolish minister cannot keep her safe forever with his worthless prayers. Soon the blessings will have to be revoked if she is to meet with her vampiric pets." Demir said.
"YOU won't be around when that happens." An angry voice snarled.
Demir and Aiesha turned around suddenly. There stood Alucard and Seras. They're eyes full of nothing but utter contempt and malice. Demir only replied with an icy smile showing his elongated fangs. That smile mocked the rage that burned within his enemies.
"You have caused my master enough trouble. It's time you two rejects were dealt with." Alucard warned.
"Bold words coming from a vampire who has become a human's bitch." Aiesha sneered.
"Alucard is the hound of Hellsing. So technically, that makes ME the bitch." Seras growled baring her fangs.
"That must be the reason for your insulent attitude. Or perhaps you spend too much time on all fours." Demir chided.
"Enough!" Alucard yelled unholstering his guns. "You dare insult both my master and my mate!"
"Such a pitiful excuse for a creature of the night. You must rely on the weapons of man instead of your own powers." Aiesha jeered.
"I learned how to deal with that a long time ago." Alucard snarled as he aimed his Jackul at Aiesha's heart.
"Such uncivilized weapons you use. I'm suprised you're not using a sword. You don't even use your true name. Perhaps the son of Dracul has forgotten who he really is." Demir refuted.
"You are one to talk...Celik." Alucard growled. "Yes, I know exactly who you are. You may have hidden your condition from me, but you cannot cloak the memories I still have of you. And just so you know, these guns happen to suit my personality quite well. Besides, scum like yourselves are not worth the effort of a sword. I'd rather just blow you both to hell and be done with it."
"You seem to forget something Vlad. This is not Romania. You have no control over this domain." Demir replied arrogantly.
"We're not in Turkey either Celik. You have as much control over this country as I do." Alucard said with an equally defiant tone.
"That will soon change." Aiesha proclaimed.
"Not if my mate and I have anything to say about it." Alucard warned and fired a single shot from his gun. Demir however, suprised both Alucard and Seras when he quickly unsheathed a sword and used it to deflect the bullet as if it were a baseball being hit by a bat.
Alucard recovered from his shock quickly enough to dodge the bullet heading right for him. "You're going to have to do better than that to get rid of me." Alucard sneered.
"You think so? That was just a teaser compared to what I have planned for you and your human master." Demir said coldly.
"You cannot harm my master. As we stand here now a priest is putting up shields around her. They may prevent me from getting close enough to protect her, but they prevent you from getting close to her as well." Alucard replied.
"There is something you did not count on. Aiesha and I don't have to be physically near the woman to take her. She believes she is protected by God. But the priest on the other hand is not as strong in his faith as he believes. Sin, even when only in the mind is still sin." Demir said with an evil laugh.
Alucard's eyes widened when he realized what Demir was about to do.
##################################
The priest was about to leave Integra's office. As he was about to open the door to exit he suddenly stopped. He could not physically move for a moment. Integra and Walter looked at the minister.
"Minister, are you all right?" Integra asked.
"Your will is mine. Your faith in your God is weak. You will do as I command and call me master." The priest heard in his head.
The minister turned around and faced Integra. She and Walter looked at each other for a moment.
"Sir, are you all right?" Walter asked firmly.
"Renounce your God! Embrace the dark mother as your mistress!" Demir commanded.
The priest grit his teeth trying not to let the words escape his lips. His eyes widened as the internal struggle began.
"Revoke the blessing. Renounce your maker, and be reborn as one of us!"
"You will NOT speak!" Another voice entered the minster's head.
"Revoke that blessing and holy man or not, I will kill you myself!" It was Alucard. He now fought for control of the minister's will.
"Do not speak! Do not listen to this spawn of the devil! Keep the blessing in place!" He ordered.
"You are not to listen to him! He is weak! I am your master! Revoke the blessing!" Demir hissed.
##################################
Alucard and Demir stood outside the Hellsing grounds locked in a struggle for control of the mininster and ultimately Integra's fate. Both of them focused so intently that neither saw what was about to happen next. Seras was focused upon Alucard. She did not see Aiesha spring from her place beside Demir. The older vampiress landed behind Seras and grabbed her hair. She violently slammed Seras to the ground.
"Get your hands off me you bitch!" Seras yelled. She reached back and dug her claws into Aiesha's head. Aiesha screamed in pain and let Seras go. Seras then struck back by giving Aiesha a swift side kick to her ribs. The commotion broke Alucard's concentration. Just the moment Demir was waiting for.
##################################
"Your God has forsaken you! Your thoughts are as impure as your soul. Renounce the light and embrace the darkness!" Demir commanded in the mind of the minister.
Integra and Walter realized something was not right by the expression on the holy man's face. The minister now under the control of Demir ripped the cross lapel he wore from his clothes and threw it to the floor. With a crazed look in his eye he proceeded to stomp it into the floor.
"What are you doing!" Integra shouted.
"I revoke the blessing! I give myself to the darkness!" The minister yelled with insane laughter. "Lilith will rule the world!" He cackled.
##################################
Now with the holy shields removed Demir was free to enter the Hellsing mansion. It was too late when Alucard realized Aiesha attacked Seras to distract him from his mental war with Demir. In the blink of an eye he turned away from Demir for one second and his foe vanished.
"I can take care of myself! Protect Sir Integra!" Seras shouted as she continued to tangle with Aiesha. Alucard took to the air to reach Integra's office. He phazed through the wall only to find Walter unconcious on the floor and Integra in Demir's grasp. He held her easily by her hair with one hand and restrained her wrists with the other. Alucard glared with hellish rage in his eyes.
"Release her and maybe I'll think about giving you a quick death." He snarled.
"Make one move and the woman will die." Demir warned.
"You kill her and you kill the only chance of bringing your harlot mistress back into this world." Alucard replied.
"You are mistaken. We don't need her body. We only need her blood to bring the dark mother back to this world." Demir refuted.
"Besides, your young bride will not last long against Aiesha. Perhaps the little bitch is already dead. Perhaps Aiesha and I will have a little fun with her before we destroy her. You may yet have a chance to save her. But you're also bound to protect your master. Such a dilema. Women have always been your downfall Vlad Dracula. It was because of a woman that you gave your soul to eternal darkness. It was because of a woman that you ended up a slave to humans. How appropriate that it will be because of a woman that your pathetic existance will finally come to an end."
The words only fueled Alucard's rage as he aimed his Jackul at Demir's head. Demir opened his mouth and bared his fangs perilously close to Integra's throat. Demir only smiled coldly as he pressed the points of his canines against his victim's skin.
"Go ahead. Shoot me. You may destroy me but you will also kill your master. Perhaps that is what you want. Her death will mean your freedom. Let's see what kind of a monster you really are." Demir taunted mentally.
"Perhaps you didn't want me to know. Perhaps maybe you're seeing this as your ticket to freedom!" The words from Integra rang in Alucard's mind, the very words from their heated argument. He gritted his teeth and lowered his gun. Demir raised his head away from Integra's throat.
"You truly are pathetic. You could have shot her and still given her eternal life. Not only will you lose your master, you've most likely lost your mate as well." Demir said with a demonic laugh and vanished with Integra still struggling in his clutches.
"NO!" Alucard roared as he watched his master disappear with his old enemy.
"What...what happened? What's going on here?" Asked the confused minister shaking his head. Before he could utter another word he found himself slammed against the wall. Alucard sank his fangs into the hapless man's throat. The vampire's rage needed a victim, and the minister found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Alucard quickly and violently drained the man letting him fall to the floor as a bloodless corpse.
His fangs retracted. "I should let you roam the Earth as a mindless ghoul for betraying my master. But I have my standards." He growled and fired a single silver bullet into his victim's heart. He looked to see Walter was still knocked out. He would have quite the headache in the morning, but he would live. Alucard vanished from the room and reappeared where he'd left Seras and Aiesha fighting. His eyes widened in terror when he found his mate lying motionless upon the ground. Two gashes marked her throat.
He rushed to her side and quickly gathered her body into his arms. He saw her eyes were wide open. They were turning a dull grey and she acted as if gasping for air. Thinking fast, Alucard jerked the coat and shirt sleeves of his left arm up to expose the skin. He sank his fangs into his wrist to draw blood. The fresh blood of the minister would revive Seras. He let the sanguine fluid drip into Seras's mouth. He waited for a moment while the blood continued to seep past Seras's lips.
"Come on. Move, do something. Let me know you're still with me." He said insistently.
Slowly the greyish color in her eyes began to return to their normal crimson hue. Seras's fangs began to elongate and she latched her mouth onto Alucard's wrist sucking greedily at the blood flowing from his self inflicted wound. Seras continued to feed feeling her strength return. When Alucard began to feel his own strength begin to wain he told Seras to stop feeding.
"What happened? Where is Sir Integra?" Seras asked wiping her mouth.
"Bastard took her. She's still alive. I can sense it. But he had her in his grasp and threatened to drain her if I tried to shoot." Alucard answered. "Where's the bitch?" He asked.
"She got away. She caught me off guard and sank her fangs into me." Seras replied.
"What happened to you?" She asked.
"The minister found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Of course he had willingly abandoned his faith so it's not like I actually killed a holy man." Alucard answered.
"Come on. We'll take enough ration with us to put us back to full strength. I know where those two demons have taken Integra. We have to hurry." Alucard said as he grabbed Seras by the hand and rushed them both into a portal.
##################################
They hurried to the place where Demir and Aiesha often came to worship their dark mistress. Alucard and Seras entered the dwelling only to find the statue of Lilith was no longer there. Only the empty altar remained. Alucard looked around desperate to find any sign of Integra. But to his dismay she was not there.
"Where is she? They would have taken her here." Seras said looking around trying to sense signs of life. Alucard's search proved futile. There was no sign of his master. Yet he could still sense she was alive, but she was not there.
"CELIK!" He howled with rage.
His only responce was evil laughter echoing against the walls of the room. "Where is she? What have you done with her!" Alucard roared.
Aiesha appeared before them smiling coldly. She was alone. Demir was not at her side. Alucard withdrew his guns and pointed them straight at her heart.
"Where is my master, whore!" He thundered.
Aiesha's venomous smile mocked Alucard's rage. "Come to the abbey, and you will see. You will all see." She said and vanished as Alucard pumped five rounds into her fading form. Her laughter rang throughout the building.
"Abbey? What is she talking about?" Seras asked.
"Abbey...Carfax. Carfax Abbey. That's where they're holding Integra. That's where they intend to hold the ceremony." Alucard answered reholstering his guns.
"I didn't think it still stood." Seras replied.
"Let's go. We don't have time to waste." Alucard said as the two vampires vanished.
